Heather Disarro: i love this post! i LOVE football season, but I'm totally with you on the baseball part...blech! not a basketball fan either, but it's still way better than baseball!
2.1.10, 12:23PM tina: Jessica, I was tracking right along with you up until you said you wanted football season to be over. Ordinarily, I might agree...but this year, well, being from New Orleans and a lifelong Saints fan AND being that this has been the most amazing season ever AND the fact that we are going to the Superbowl...I just don't want it to end!
2.1.10, 9:52AM Helen (Dogeared): My friends are like you and Jeff. Gem gets cold, Jon gets hot. They found a fitted sheet (the one going over the mattress) which is heated, and - amazingly - you can have one side of the bed hot and one cold! So Gem can turn her side up and lie on a warm bit, and Jon can lie on a cooler part.
2.1.10, 6:31AM pamela: any tips for shooting in snow?
1.31.10, 4:04PM Peter: great blog, I eally love the pictures.
1.31.10, 11:03AM Jena: Haha - that is too funny about the "temperature war"....my husband's name is also Jeff and the same thing happens at our house...so low and behold he bought me an electric blanket for my birthday! great minds think alike :) Cheers to great husbands!
1.29.10, 11:38PM kathrine: Hello,
I was wondering if I may ask a technical question? I had come across a shortcut keystroke on your Pioneer Woman site & now I can't find it. It was a shortcut to use when you move one image on top of another to make it fit perfectly. I did get that from your site? Your photos are amazing! 1.29.10, 7:59PM
Annika: Jessica--can you give any and all tips you have about shooting in snow? I live in the mid west and so-duh-winter is a tough time for shoots and no one wants snow pictures...and I although I have some fun ideas for a winter-esque shoot, I admit I find it a bit hard to get the exposure right against the bright snow. Thanks! :) Good to see more blogging happening here! I check often! :) 1.29.10, 7:37PM
Angela: my husband and i are the same way - he's always hot, i'm always cold, we're always bickering over the temp in the house! :-P i have an electric blanket that i looooove!! i love snuggling up underneath it :-) 1.29.10, 6:58PM
christina: oooh...i so need a new electric blanket for this cold weather! but it's always nicer to snuggle up to warm husband!
1.29.10, 6:50PM Karen (Mikols) Bonar: Be glad you didn't marry a sports editor like I did ... he has a LEGIT reason to watch every sporting event under the sun. Sheesh. ;)
1.29.10, 5:21PM Jessika: Do people not go outside when it rains in SoCal? 1.29.10, 10:51AM
Jess: Did you just say you got a heated blanket? lol!! I live in Ohio...it's 4 degrees today with windchill. Yes...FOUR DEGREES. You Californians are so funny. :) wink. wink. 1.29.10, 10:48AM
kelli: Let us know how the blanket works for you. My hubby seams to think a person would sweat and then get electrocuted, his reason for not getting one.
1.29.10, 10:29AM Trish: I have been following your blog for a while & wanted to say how happy I am to have more posts to look @ this year! It is really nice, keep up the good work!
1.29.10, 9:35AM Jennifer: Well, to really wear that outfit right that girl had to not eat for like a year. Yikes!
1.29.10, 9:18AM Jen Shannon: My poor husband goes through the same thing, except we are both cold natured but I'm always WAY more cold than him. I sleep under three comforters and a sheet and am still cold (but usually his body heat heats it up under there pretty quick-he's like a walking heater). Someday I WILL have an electric blanket.
1.29.10, 8:52AM Amy Ross: I understand completely. Same thing at my house!
1.29.10, 8:47AM caroline: I'm the one that's always cold and crying about it, John is a heat beacon. The other day, he brought me sweatpants warm out of the dryer to put on. I do love that man.
1.29.10, 8:03AM Jo: Jessica - i look at your blog every day, and yes, you do need to write more than once a week or two or three. i am completely disappointed when you haven't made a new entry. your photography is the most beautiful i've ever seen. i have given your blog to many people getting married so they can see how gorgeous your work is. i am 61 and am going to retire from my job as a high school secretary in 4 years. after that i want to become a photographer. you are inspiration. keep up the great work 1.29.10, 6:41AM
J: I have an electric mattress pad! They're even better than the electric blankets! But, it's like 15 degrees in Boston today.... 1.29.10, 6:03AM
Darla: Jessica! Football rocks...and so does that nail polish! Do it! :-)
1.28.10, 11:28PM Charlie: I have the same issue with my husband! I am ALWAYS cold and he is always hot. And he also bought me an electric blanket. I do use my on the bed, too. The trick is to fold it so it does not cover his half of the bed.
1.28.10, 9:12PM alison : Here is something to add to your week. I came across this blog and thought that you would love the style! Enjoy - decor8blog.com : ) 1.28.10, 8:17PM
Kristy: I can't wait to see your snow shoot pics ....and I think you could totally rock that outfit and nail polish in Vegas ... You Go Girl! Have Fun... Cheers To You. 1.28.10, 7:36PM
