Kate Whitmore: This is... 1001 times better than a New Years Resolution! Thank you for the inspiration...just completed my own. It makes my life a little happier to have these goals written down. 2.18.10, 11:25PM
Jody: Jessica, I've been married for almost 9 years and still haven't gotten my name changed on my passport! (Can you tell I have not flown internationally since my honeymoon?!) I only live about 20 minutes from you, so if you want to knock out #43, we could go get new photos, sit down and make each other fill out the paperwork (maybe over burritos at the new cafe rio? YUM!), then go to the post office and mail it all off. Somehow, I have not managed to do this on my own but if I had a plan to meet someone I know I'd follow through. =0) Maybe not the most exciting item on your list, but something I've been wanting to take care of, too. Good luck with your list! 2.9.10, 1:40PM
Terry: I can help you learn how to shoot a gun properly. Come on over to Cleveland, OH. 2.6.10, 7:40PM
kayla :): I heart this idea Jess!! I think you have just inspired me to do the same! :) 1.19.10, 6:55PM
Lidia Boicu: I thought I could help you with the resolution to volunteer for a children charity.. What's better than combining photography and charity for children.. www.tinysparrowfoundation.org/blog 1.16.10, 10:36AM
elle: #85 makes me so happy. i almost wanted to put "TP a house with JC" on MY list. hahaha! --- awesome list. can't wait to watch ya mark things off! 1.15.10, 5:30PM
Bekah: Hey Jess, I'm sure someone has already told you about the # I will...but I haven't had the time to read the comments. :) Not sure HOW you do it. PS: i love you blogging more. Having a few sisters get married I know how busy, stressful, and wonderful the "Wedding year" is so I never was upset, I just missed ya. Glad you're back :) I've "followed" you basically daily since you shot photos for Nate and Tricia. Tricia is the sister of some of my closest friends from college: Lancaster Bible College, lancaster pa. Anyway... I can help you with a few of these!!! #22: Come to my place! South Africa!!! I moved her last year, I started a school in a rural community and am the head teacher and administrator. South Africa is seriously the diverse country i have ever lived/ministered in, and I've been in over 22! The people, the food, the places and things to see. Its all unreal. I can tell you more but I think you and Jeff would LOVE it. I can obviously tell you more if you're interested. #27. WHile you're here, why not stay an extra week (or two, or month!) and Volunteer for the organization that I work for? It is a Christian based organization that works in many townships (poor towns left over from Apartheid), children's homes (orphanages), and in schools. There are some VERY cool ministries we oversee. I think you'd love the Leadership Academy we run during the year. http://www.rag.org.za/ #39: I guarantee we have lots of foods you've never tried before. Some you would actually like, and some you'd never want to try again but you'd get bragging rights for trying! :) #40: we can be friends, too! :) I mean, personally, I feel like we are, because of following your blog...but technically, I'm just an internet stalker. :( #43, if you came to visit me, you would have to get the passport=motivation. :) #45: If not my school, my organization, and if not that...I have lots of friends who do amazing work in Jesus name helping the poorest of the poor overseas. Convoy of Hope and IJM are just two organizations... #46. You have to take a boat to get from Cape of Good Point to Robbin Island, which is where Mendala and a lot of prisoners were held during Apartheid. #49. Selfishly, I'd "settle" for this. It gets VERY lonely here. I have access to some "American" things, but they are few and far between. I'd LOVE a care package of fun comfort foods and just "American" things... #50 we have hunting on the game farm I live on with a great range to learn and practice! #51 I live on a game lodge, we can go on a game drive here (even on my walks I pass zebras and giraffes regularly), and Kruger's National Park is very close and safari's there are incredible. #54 I worked as a piano teacher on and off before moving here to SA. So, I'm sure I could get your fingers in working condition :) (can't believe how many of these I can help you accomplish...I feel excited!) Jess, please just know I love your work and your writing and the heart that comes through both. Thank you for inspiring me with great photos for what will soon be two years now. 1.14.10, 7:18AM
Gail: Check out chi running. You'll be running your 3 miles in no time. I'm up to almost 5 miles after just a few weeks. 1.12.10, 4:56PM
JenneferWilson: ooh ooh!! along with my own photography I paint and design a lot of different things! I would LOVE to take care of #53 for you!! let me know!! PS...see if someone will pay you a buck a day for getting in the word...by the end of the year you would read through the bible and be 365 bucks richer! 1.11.10, 6:38PM
JenneferWilson: OOH OOH! along with my own photography I do alot of painting and designing...i could take care of # 53! let me know! it would be my pleasure! :) Also, reading the bible in a year is such an admirable goal! My mom told me that if I read everyday and reported back, she'd pay me a dollar a day...see if your hubby will strike a deal with you! thats 365 bucks!...and then you could meet another goal! 1.11.10, 6:35PM
Cristi Owen: i know i've offered before, but i will offer it again. i can most certainly help with the weight loss one, not sure how you picked 25# but we would first figure out the right amount :). skype sessions work really well for this! and in case you are wondering, i'm a registered dietitian. have fun accomplishing it all! 1.11.10, 5:12PM
P. Phillips: I have a great tool to help you read through the whole Bible! (This is a goal of mine too, that I've never been consistent with). Here's a link to the Bible reading plan from my church, the Austin Stone (http://www.austinstone.org/resources/bible_reading_plan). It gives you a reading plan for the whole week. If you follow it, you will get through the entire Bible in a year (or you can go at your own pace). This page also explains a study method you can use called R.E.A.P. Pray that He will give you perseverance in this new endeavor! His word is the greatest treasure we have! Good luck! 1.11.10, 11:20AM
Patricia Espedal: You should sell your wedding stuff on your blog first! or just email me, I'm interested. 1.9.10, 7:20PM

Alicia: you should..."give away a major prize" (#18) to a blog reader/aspiring photographer/new business owner... where you "rent an apartment" (#15) in their city to help them grow. I'd say that would be pretty life changing... and maybe you'd make a new friend (#40) maybe that would be #72 too? Great List BTW. I made one a little over a year ago after first coming across yours. As a result about 5 other people I know ALSO made one. Very inspiring. 1.7.10, 9:47PM

Karen (Mikols) Bonar: That whole "new lat name on your passport" is my final thing to being the new me. Name changing is SUCH a process. Wouldn't it be great if we could outsource it? ;) 1.6.10, 9:38AM

If I could be your new friend (#40), you could take a road trip to Iowa (#48), I could take you out on our boat (#46), my husband could take you flying in his small private plane (#95), I could teach you to sew (#80), my daughter could teach you the piano (#54), you could babysit our four children while your here (#91), my sister is a hair stylist and could give you a new hairstyle or color (#97), this would for sure be an adventure (#101), and you might admire me before your trip is over (#72), if only you would say "yes" to this offer instead of no (#72). All kidding aside, I love reading your blog and looking at your pictures. 1.5.10, 5:30PM

Come to Australia, and not just a capital city - come to Rockhampton - hold a workshop with James Day (who we are trying to get here also) and then I can personally take you on an expidition to the northern territory where I promise you will meet the most fascinating people because I will introduce them to you!! =) 1.5.10, 5:12PM

I have been wanting to do one of these for a while now and after reading yours and getting some encouragement from friends, I think I will write it out while on my trip to Imaging in Nashville. My husband can help you out with #50 and if you want to make it a double date, you guys can come over for dinner after #50 is taken care of and have something you never had before and then add it to the Norwood Cookbook! Jamie: I had blank notecards made with a random photo I took that looks like an abstract painting (purely by using the wrong setting years ago on a point-and-shoot) and I love the photo so much that it makes me want to write notes more often! I was trained on thank-you notes by my mother and so I would write them anyway, but the personalization makes it more enjoyable. 1.5.10, 9:41AM

Richie: Hi Claire, I appreciate all your efforts for the list of 101 for 2010. i never like New Years resolutions because they do not last, but list are my favorite thing to do. I have not done it in a few months because I went back to school to get my bachelors degree in Photography @ the Academy Of Art University In San Francisco. I was obsessed with making sure I get A's for all my classes because I love photography so much, I want to be so good at it. Anyways, I changed my life by making list, and I accomplished most of them as a matter of fact all of them, and I am excited to make my list for this year inspired by some of your list. I am a photographer based here in Sonoma Wine Country. I photograph weddings as well, and I LOVE IT!!!!! I am a single mother of a six year old boy who is just the best kid. I am finishing my site ( i am designing it myself), and I would really love to take your boudoir photos when you are ready, and would LOVE to second shoot for you on an adventure wedding! cindee bae: #13 (Attend a wedding as a guest) made me laugh but #85 (TP a house) is my favorite! G'luck and happy new year!! 1.4.10, 7:35PM
Megan C.: You instantly inspired me! Thanks for the jumpstart! 1.4.10, 7:35PM
rachel: #97, hairstyle/color A long time ago I watched an Oprah about being stuck in a rut (hair, clothing) and decided to break out of it by getting my hair cut. BIG MISTAKE. I realized, after the fact, that there is a reason my hair looks the same (more or less) and that is because it looks better that way! (It's curly and thus needs to be longer or I look like frizz-head. Plus, not many people can REALLY cut curly hair with a style that works with, not against, the curl.) So take it easy on #97. Or maybe just go with a color change. 1.4.10, 7:32PM

And I'd even pay for you and Jeff! And one of my good friends lives at the canyon, so she is a built in tour guide/hotel to the largest hole in the ground national park! 1.4.10, 7:29PM
Rachel Shomsky: #85... I will help you TP a house. Next time I'm in the area... and with your product lines I am sure I am interested in any new business you start. :) 1.4.10, 7:24PM

Sarah Cook: #7 - You can donate your computer(s) to therapy places. Check and see if there is an Easter Seals Pediatric therapy center in your area - they rely on donations. My son is Autistic and the Easter Seals that he goes to weekly until recently had only antiquated computers that looked like they were from 1996 or earlier - they were slow and unreliable. Easter Seals provides therapy for kids regardless of whether or not the parents can afford it, so there's no money for computers/printers, etc. 1.4.10, 7:06PM
Amy McTeague: I can give you a recipe to add to your family cook book. I have a ton more in front of me if you have something like this or don't eat meat etc... Hunan Chicken and Zucchini Stir Fry 1/4 c corn starch 1/4 cup of water 1lb or boneless chicken cut into strips (you can use pork instead of chicken as well) 3 Tbls vegtable oil 3 small zucchini sliced; about 3 cups 1/3 cup of Hunan Sauce 1Tbls sesame seeds Hot cooked rice Combine cornstarch and water, stirring until smooth. Add chicken. Heat 2 Tablespoons oil in large skillet over medium heat until hot. Add chicken mixture and stir fry for 3 min or until chicken is no longer pink. Remove from skillet. Heat remaining oil and add zucchini; stir fry for 3 min or until tender. Return chicken to skillet; add Hunan sauce and sesame seeds. Stir Fry until thoroughly heated. Serve over rice. Serves 4. If you can't find hunan sauce you can look at a speciatly grocery store or substitute hoisin sauce. 1.4.10, 7:05PM
Alyse French: Absolutely brilliant list! You've inspired me, yet again!! :) P.S. TOTALLY sell your wedding stuff on Ebay!! I'd KILL to make my upcoming wedding like yours was!! :) 1.4.10, 7:04PM

allyson magda: thanks for sharing! I've always loved your 101 in 1001...you should take a road trip to Hearst Castle, to see their imax, and camp while you're up there...you could kill three in 1! I think we should swap lists or lives, that way, I could cross of like 1/2 of your list and things that are on mine are things you've done so you could cross off half of mine! ha! 1.4.10, 7:00PM
