Matt: What an awesome idea, great shots.
11.21.09, 11:51AM PiXistenZ: Fantastic, moody work! I have a feeling with love the same sort of photography.
5.22.08, 6:05AM Rachel Absher: These are awesome. Lovin' that light in the last one.
5.14.08, 12:01AM Anna: So is that what you use? The dust and scratches from PS? Jut wondering! Thanks.
5.10.08, 10:33PM Jenn: Love these photos! Just the right amount of *something* that makes me all mushy inside...I can just imagine the subjects looking back on these years later and the emotion that will roll upon them. Very nice.
Question...is it difficult to take urban photos--especially in front of businesses, etc.? Some places either charge for photos or they don't allow it for insurance reasons--one place even claimed "terrorism safety"!! I know the sidewalk is public property and we can shoot from there.
Wondered about your experiences and thoughts.
Thanks again for the awesome photos...off to peruse the rest of your site. (BTW, I read your post on PW's site and loved it...yours is now bookmarked. )
5.9.08, 11:17PM Anna: Thanks Adria!
5.9.08, 10:34PM Kelly: Wow, you have great pictures! It's kind of funny that you were just mentioned on both of my favorite websites - Pioneer Woman and CFHusband! I saw you on Nathan's blog first, then PW, and thought it was kinda coincidental :) I'd love to see what you do with the Lawrensons - I'm sure it will be amazing! 5.9.08, 6:26PM
jamie: Beautiful photos, beautiful light. And Ami is beautifully shapely. Lovely. 5.9.08, 5:22PM

5.9.08, 5:06PM trish: HA! I just saw your post on Pioneer Woman's site, and I was all, Wait, I thought my Reader called Jessica Claire's feed Jessica Claire, not photography. What the...? Hehehe...definitely the best guest post. :D

5.9.08, 4:23PM liz: hi!
just stopped by from PW's site.....love these photos and your control of the light!
5.9.08, 4:01PM Andre Niesing: i LOVE chicago too. great shots. great textures. see you at Norwoods next week!!!
5.9.08, 11:06AM Adria: Anna: I hate to answer for JC but I think she uses textures for the scratches not actions. A couple of months ago she posted a couple with the same textures and had a link to where she got them.
5.9.08, 9:27AM melissa: i have the same question as anna - i've been looking for that action (the one with the scratches and spots, next to the last) and cannot find it. which action is that? 5.8.08, 11:43PM
Scotty Graham: Jessica, I have been a fan of yours for some time now. Your lighting is always very nice...do you use a flash or strobes or is everything "natural light"? For example, your shot "stepping inside" a restaurant....the shades are pulled down yet the scene is so nicely lit...what kind of lighting are you using?
Cheers, Scotty
5.8.08, 9:09PM Anna: What is the action you used in the second to last shot that looks very antiqued with scratches and all?
Thanks! I just got the production tools and love them but I didn't see that one.
5.8.08, 7:28PM Ann Hamilton: Don't you love it when the clients bring their dogs to the shoot? :)
5.8.08, 5:27PM Kate McBride: wow that last photo is just brilliant and beautiful. Those are some of my favorite shots to capture, with the sunlight in the back lighting then up. Its awesome!!
5.8.08, 3:12PM IGOR POGODAYEV: What a great photos you have, I love the way you edit them and the way you shoot. It is also very cool that you are willing to share your secretes. One question for you: Do you usually edit all of the images for the clients before they see it? Or do you show images straight out of the camera and then whenever they pick their favorites you edit them?
5.8.08, 3:06PM Brian Khang: Chicago looks so nice.. I want to go there someday. Great photos Jess!
5.8.08, 3:03PM TN: which Kubota magic did you use on the red window with reflection shot? It's fantastic!
